CNA Program Details
Mandatory CNA Informational Session and Pre-Assessment

Prospective students interested in the CNA program, must attend a FREE Informational Session and take an English proficiency exam. Pre-assessments will be administered at the Informational Session. A minimum score equivalent to a sixth grade level of English comprehension is required to qualify for admission to the program. CNA class size is limited to 15 students – the top 15 student scorers will be accepted into the program. All students admitted to the program must attend the mandatory orientation session—see below. Information about “No Cost Training” and financial assistance will be provided during the Informational Session.

Orientation covers the program requirements in detail. During orientation, students will be required to complete specific paperwork required for admittance to the program.
The following documentation is required:
California DHS283B form - the following items must be brought to orientation.
- California Driver’s License or California Photo ID
- Original Social Security Card
* All personal information must match identically
Also required for the program:
- Department of Justice screening*
- Federal Fingerprinting clearance*
- TB clearance**
* Students with multiple names may be subject to additional charges for background screening and fingerprinting clearances.
** TB Skin test only. Students will be responsible for the costs of extensive testing such as x-rays, if required to obtain clearance.
Nurse's Assistant Course
This 12-week course prepares students for the State Nurse’s Assistant Certification Exam. Curriculum includes a blend of classroom instructional activities and valuable hands-on workplace training in a long term/extended care facility. Students must provide their own transportation to workplace training locations.
Prerequisites: Must score a minimum score equal to sixth grade level of English comprehension on the pre-assessment. Students must pass the Department of Justice screening, Federal Fingerprinting clearance, and health clearances to complete the workplace-training component of the course.
Fee: $1750 (includes fees, tuition, materials, supplies, textbooks, standard fees for medical and background clearances, CPR course, and standard uniform). Learn about "No Cost Training" and financial assistance at the Informational Session.
