Early Childhood Education (ECE)

The Azusa Unified School District's California State Preschool Program (CSPP) is dedicated to nurturing the intellectual, social-emotional, and creative development of our youngest learners, setting them on the path to becoming lifelong learners. Our approach promotes cognitive development and social-emotional growth through exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences, all within high-quality early care and education learning environments. We are proud to be a Tier-5 Quality Start Los Angeles (QSLA) participant.

Our program offers:

  • Ages Served: 2-5 years old (must be 3 by December 1st, 2025)

  • Program Options: Both Part-Day (8:00 AM - 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM) and Full-Day (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM) programs

  • Comprehensive Support:
       - High-Quality Learning Opportunities
       - Meals and Snacks
       - Parent Education
       - Referrals to Health and Social Services

  • Experienced and Trained Teaching Staff

  • Convenient Locations: Serving all AUSD elementary school sites, including Dalton, Hodge (Opening Fall 2025), Lee, Longfellow, Magnolia, Murray, Paramount, and Valleydale.

  • Open to All: Our preschool serves Azusa residents and families from surrounding communities, with no interdistrict transfer required for preschool enrollment.

Please note that Early Childhood Education (ECE) is based on the age requirements listed below. Please review the age requirements:

Preschool: Must turn 3 by December 1 of the current year

Transitional Kindergarten: Must turn 4 by September 1 of the current school year

Kindergarten: Must turn 5 by September 1 of the current year
