Emergencies
Murray School has a disaster plan in the event of an emergency situation. This is a district wide program designed to provide temporary shelter and assistance to our students. Regular drills are held to assure that students and staff are aware of thir roles in an emergency situation. During an actual emergency, gates will be locked and students will be released from the kindergarten gate in front of the office. Students will only be released to parents or agents listed on the emergency card. However, during a lock down, gates will be locked and no one may leave or enter the campus until law enforcement deems the situation to be safe.

Attendance
In order for students to be successful in school, regular attendance is necessary. Students need to attend school every day on time. When students are not in school, they miss important instruction time. Be sure your child gets plenty of rest the night before a school day so he/she comes to school ready to learn. Plan vacations around school holidays.

Homework
Murray School believes that homework is an opportunity to promote teacher/parent/child relationships. By working together we can develop the whole child through activities that reinforce integral parts of the individual classroom curriculum. Homework will be assigned 4 nights per week. The daily amount of time for homework will vary from time to time with various assignments.
