A Message From The Principal
Welcome to the 2021-22 school year. It is with great excitement that we look forward to continuing our focus on academic achievement while forming relationships with each of our students for this upcoming school year. Educating our students for the 21st century is a challenge we actively pursue.
At Valleydale Elementary our purpose is to create a community that fosters a safe, respectful, positive school environment that empowers student growth in academics, community involvement and personal relationships. As a result, this year we will continue to focus on implementing a common-core standards-based instructional program and to strengthen the rigor in our classroom instruction. Teaching staff will actively collaborate using the Professional Learning Community model which will allow teachers to focus on student learning. Acceleration, enrichment and intervention will be provided to all students in reading and math. Chrome books will be used to enhance students’ 21st Century skills and a dedicated science classroom will be used for ongoing STEM activities. Implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports; PBIS, will give us a school wide approach to make our school safe and to promote positive behavior.
Our parent and community volunteers play an integral part in assisting us as we implement dynamic programs that support our District's commitment to excellence. We know that by working together we can provide every opportunity for our students to learn and develop to their highest potential. We are glad to have you as part of our community and we look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education.
