Our Mission & Vision
Vision- At Ellington School, each student will be a problem solver, critical thinker, effective communicator, and a positive contributor to the community.
Mission- At Ellington School, we strive to create an environment where each student attains or exceeds academic proficiency and is on the path to college and career readiness.
Our School
Ellington Elementary is a neighborhood school nestled among single-family homes. Ellington has been recognized as an Honor Roll School by California Business for Education Excellence for 3 consecutive years.
The Ellington staff is committed to providing opportunities for all students to attain their highest potential. Students are encouraged to become independent thinkers and lifelong learners who take pride in who they are and what they do.
Ellington has a beautiful campus. The library and computer lab are open every morning before school for students and parents. Every classroom has a document camera, LCD projector, and computers, which allow teachers to integrate technology into the daily curriculum.
Ellington offers competitive sports for all of our students. Our 506 students have the opportunity to play basketball, volleyball, football, or softball. Additionally, we have a cheerleading team. Our teams are made up of both female and male athletes. We have a total of 49 female and 49 male athletes that participate in the aforementioned sports.
Ellington continues to work hard to build its partnership with the community. Parents are invited to our Student of the Month assemblies. Our PTO also sponsors family events such as: Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom, Spooktacular, and the Family Sock Hop. Parents are encouraged to volunteer in classrooms.
Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s education. Ellington has an active PTO that provides funds for field trips, computers, library supplies, student awards, and assemblies. Parents are also encouraged to join the English Language Advisory Committee and School Site Council. Ellington is a wonderful place to learn!
