My name is Marisela Casas and I am excited to be at Ellington school. I am very excited about working with all of you and seeing all of your accomplishments. I was born in Los Angeles, California, and was raised in the Downey area. It is calming to come to Ellington and see the beautiful mountains of Azusa.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of California Irvine and I started working for Los Angeles Unified School District as a high school credit recovery teacher. I enjoy helping students achieve their academic and career goals, so after 5 years of being a teacher, I decided to pursue my Master's Degree in School Counseling from the University of La Verne.
I have been a school counselor for over 6 years and have worked with students from Kindergarten all the way to Adult Education. I am available to help you with your academic needs, college/career plans, as well as your socio-emotional needs. School can be stressful sometimes, so it helps to talk to someone. My door is always open when you need a calming space or you can contact me via email or phone.
