Slauson Middle School recognizes that each student is an individual and seeks to provide a curriculum and school climate that meets the needs of all students. The Slauson Staff is committed to providing our students with rigorous instruction that leads to the mastery of the California Common Core State Standards, as well as a safe and caring place of learning. Late start Fridays not only provide Slauson teachers an opportunity to participate in Common Core professional development, but also time to implement Professional Learning Communities in which teachers collaborate on lesson planning and strategy implementation, as well as develop Common Formative Assessments to inform their instructional practice.
